Kawasaki is recalling certain 2012 model-year Mule 4x4s for a fire hazard. The fuel tube can scrape against the air cleaner housing and develop holes, according to the CPSC.

Models being recalled are the 2012 Mule 600 (KAF400BCF) in green, the 2012 Mule 610 4x4 (KAF400ACF) in red or green, and the 2012 Mule 4x4XC (KAF400DCF or KAF400ECF) in black or camouflage. The number of vehicles affected is roughly 3,900, according to the CPSC, and were sold by dealers from June 2011 through February 2012.

Consumers are being asked to contact their dealers for a free inspection and repair before using their vehicles again.
