Kawasaki recalls Vulcan models for ECU problem

Kawsakaki is recalling certain 2009-to-2010 Vulcan models. NHTSA hasn’t reported which specific models, nor the potential number of units affected.

Due to an improper setting of the engine control unit, the engine of these models may stall if the rider is coasting with the clutch pulled in.

Dealers will replace the ECU with one containing revised settings to address the stalling. The safety recall was expected to begin on or before Oct. 22.
