AUSTIN, Texas - World Champion and Texas legend #34, Kevin Schwantz, will meet with fans the afternoon of April 18 at the Ducati Austin dealership at 812 E. Braker Lane. The event is hosted in collaboration with Dainese.
Kevin Schwantz is one of the most celebrated racers from what many consider the fiercest period of international motorcycle competition. The bikes were 500cc two-stroke beasts and the riders were among the best of all times. Schwantz battled mightily against the likes of Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson and Mick Doohan. The latter described Schwantz "as the fastest person he ever raced." Schwantz racked up 25 MotoGP wins total in his career.
Born and raised in Houston, Schwantz now makes his home in the Austin area and runs the Kevin Schwantz School. He is also mentor and coach to a new generation of Riders influencing the likes of Valentino Rossi and others.
Schwantz will be at Ducati Austin sharing his thoughts on the exciting beginning of the Moto GP season. There will be a short interview followed by an autograph session for guests and a Ducati Austin Happy Hour. Ducati Austin will provide complimentary posters for all attendees.
Locally owned, Ducati Austin is a retailer of Ducati and MV Agusta vehicles, Dainese, and AGV helmets.
