ORLANDO, Fla. - Koso North America this week revealed prototype high-tech, high-definition gauges.

The RFX features Thin Film Transistor (TFT) technology as found on modern smartphones for a brilliant HD screen that can be infinitely customized to match applications, and provides the same high level of style as seen on the TFT screens found on Ducati’s 1199 Panigale, for example.

The D-series prototype uses Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology to bring the gauge to the most minimalist form-factor possible. Designed for streetfighters, customs and other machines that aim for a stripped look, the D-series mounts a tiny screen only a few inches across in the rider’s vision, with a subtle control system and the “guts” of the gauge package neatly hidden remotely.

Both of these advanced new gauges are at least six months out from being ready to ship to dealers, according to the St. Jean Sur Richelieu, Quebec-based company, and thus pricing and other detailed information are still being finalized.
