ATV AND SCOOTER manufacturer KYMCO plans to boost its U.S. dealer network by more than 80 percent in the coming year, Dealernews has learned.
The manufacturer revealed its dealer network expansion plans as it rolled out its new ATVs this week to powersports media. The company confirmed that it has about 600 dealers and plans to add another 500, primarily in the western U.S.
KYMCO said it is looking primarily at shops that are ATV-exclusive, scooter-exclusive, or a combination of the two.
The company this week is rolling out new MXU500 and MXU700 ATVs, and the biggest news is that the 700 (see photo) is actually 47 lbs. lighter than the 500 model, with most of the weight reportedly removed from the engine.
