KYMCO USA announced it will team with Ford Motor Co. to produce an ATV to complement the automaker's 411 hp, 4X4, F-150 Raptor pickup truck.
The ATV, a 2011 MXU500i, features KYMCO’s 498cc, four-stroke, 36 hp engine, four-wheel drive, and four-wheel independent suspension. The limited-edition package includes a custom metallic blue finish with Ford F-150 Raptor graphics, Built Ford Tough badging and special alloy wheels.
The Limited Edition MXU500i will debut Aug. 19-21 as part of the Ford F-150 display at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, an event expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors.
During the promotional period the Limited Edition MXUs will be on display at participating Ford Truck dealerships; purchases, however can be made only through the Ford Collection website, www.fordcollection.com. Participating KYMCO dealers will handle delivery of the purchased ATVs.
John Nens, director of Ford Global Brand Licensing, says, “This KYMCO ATV is a perfect brand extension for our F-150 Raptor customers who have an affinity for outdoor adventure, and it’s built to help them practice their adrenaline-filled activities.”
