KYMCO USA's introduction earlier this week of its partnership with The Glenn Roller Institute coincides with the recent launch of a larger, dealer-oriented training initiative: www.kymcousasalesforce.com.
"It's a dealer-level website tool for our dealers' salespeople to learn about our product and the latest sales programs and retail offers," KYMCO USA Director of Marketing Rick Pawelka tells Dealernews.
To coax salespeople to sign up and frequent the site, KYMCO USA is running a monthly contest, giving away one scooter and one ATV per month to the salesperson that sells the most KYMCO vehicles within that month. Plus, at the six-month mark, the overall top salesperson in each on-road and off-road product categories wins a grand prize of an Xciting 500Ri and UXV 500 side-by-side.
The only stipulation for entry to the contest is that the salesperson take and pass the KYMCO Dealership University Features and Benefits courses offered at kymcousasalesforce.com.
KYMCO USA partnered with Dealership University for online sales training in 2006. The week-old partnership with The Glenn Roller Institute expands the dealer training offering with a multi-week course designed to increase a salesperson's competency in dealing with customers.
"In the same way we're promoting salespeople to take the KYMCO Dealership University course, we're also doing the same for the dealer principals to have their salespeople take the Glenn Roller course," Pawelka says.
