A meeting of the board of directors for Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. resulted in numerous leadership changes scheduled to take effect in June.
Among the most prominent changes, president Tadaharu Ohashi will become chairman; current chairman Masamoto Tazaki will resign to become counselor; and Satoshi Hasegawa will become new president.
Also, managing executive officers Yuichi Asano, Nobumitsu Kambayashi, Kyohei Matsuoka and Hiroshi Takata were nominated to serve as senior vice presidents.
Plus, effective April 1, Satoshi Hasegawa, Shuji Mihara and Masashi Segawa, all senior vice presidents, will become senior executive vice presidents; Akira Matsuzaki, currently senior executive vice president, and Shinichi Tamba, currently senior vice president, both will become directors.
Kawasaki ends its fiscal third quarter March 31.
