GREENDALE, Wis. – The Village police department is testing a Harley-Davidson trike for patrols, and is one of four police agencies in the country to have tried out the police prototype.
The prototype vehicle was used in the last presidential inaugural parade and has to be back in Washington, D.C., for the next parade, according to Greendale Patch.
Authorities are interested in the stability brought by three wheels. It’s hard to knock someone off the motorcycle, said Police Chief Bob Malasuk.
The department has three trained riders who have been testing the trike, which has been provided at no additional cost for the Village.
