STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – This year’s annual open house and block party at Lombardi's Harley-Davidson will have a little extra heart as the event will benefit Staten Strong, a foundation that helps those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The party from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22, rain or shine, will include food and beverages, a live band , raffles, door prizes and contests, along with pinstriping and shopping. Admission/donation is $15.

Six months after Hurricane Sandy, many families and individuals are still struggling to recover. Lombardi's said it decided to fete Staten Strong because the dealership sustained water damage from the hurricane and now wants to help those who continue to suffer from its effects.
