A longtime Harley-Davidson dealership mechanic has opened his own shop in Chicopee, Mass.
Keith Geoffrion, who was a mechanic at Tibby's Harley-Davidson and Harley-Davidson of Southampton, opened Oil-N-Ink. He takes care of the oil, while a tattoo shop sharing the building takes care of the ink.
Geoffrion is a graduate of the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and holds H-D’s "Master of Service Technology" certification.
"I keep up with all the latest technology and updates through Harley," he told The Republican. "It's the only way to stay current."
Geoffrion says his paying his dealership dues taught him a lot and helped him build a customer base.
"You get the benefit of schooling and education that you might not otherwise get. I recommend all mechanics should start out at dealers to hone their chops,” he told The Republican.
Oil-N-Ink is at (413) 594-BIKE (2453).
