MackDaddy Racing Signs Mikey Avila

Mack Daddy Racing has signed Mikey Avila for the 2010 AMA Pro Sport season, the company announced.

“During the search for a new team rider, I kept coming back to this young rider. Not only is he fast on two wheels, but his reputation as a personable, bright and well-spoken young man was a big part of my decision”, says MackDaddy owner George Mack. “MDR is substantially expanding its business in 2010 and Mikey will be the perfect talent to showcase our bike and engine building capabilities.”

“It’s going to be serious business in this, my first year of professional racing,” Avila says. “This is my break into big-time racing and it’s the most important year in my career. Having top-notch equipment and the support of George and his team is huge. This past weekend I met with my new team and we began working on our quest for the Pro Sport Championship. I can't wait.”

The 2010 AMA Professional Racing Series begins in Daytona Beach, Fla., March 3 and ends Oct. 10 in Prescott, Ariz., with 21 races held across the U.S.
