KEMP, Texas -- Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com now offers a 40-watt LED work lamp that can provide output that’s comparable to 250-watt metal halide fixtures, the company says.

The Mechanics LED Work Light (Part. No. AML-LED-WP40-M) is light, produces less heat than comparable lamps, and also is magnetic, making it both portable and functional when one needs to mount it to mental surfaces to illuminate hard-to-see areas (it also has an adjustable bracket).

Not only can the light be used in the shop, but it is also ideal for outdoor use, like at the track. It can produce up to 1,462 lumens in a long-flood pattern, which can light up large work areas.

The light is made of aluminum, and is powder-coated for durability. Its lens is made of shatterproof polycarbonate, which is also waterproof and vapor-proof to protect the inner assembly. The company says the work light has a 50,000-hour operational life, and do not need a warm-up or cool-down period before and after use. www.magnalight.com or www.larsonelectronicsllc.com.
