LAWTON, Okla. – Big changes are afoot at Wind River Harley-Davidson, under new ownership and a new local attitude.
"The name and the attitude are the big changes," owner Mat Ratliff told the Lawton Constitution. "All of our employees are enthusiastic and are willing to help. Everyone is glad to be here and we want to have fun and make it a fun place to come."
Ratliff took over running the dealership March 25. He spent more than two years persuading the former owner to sell.
"I told him that if he ever decided to sell it, that I wanted him to consider me and give me first shot, and he did," Ratliff said. "I think it's better for everyone if a local person owned it. The past two owners were from out of town and I think it's better for everyone in the community if someone local owns it."
