His National Retail Conference program, the anchor presentation for the Dealer Sales Track, will address the sales needs common to all types of dealers.

"Selling today can be brutal," Rodgers said. "You need to build a powerful engine if you want to see the checkered flag, and that's exactly what we're going to do at DX14. And there's no one better suited than Advanstar and Dealernews to help powersports retailers do just that in today's competitive environment."

“Mark Rodgers has a unique combination of skills and abilities. He’s got the industry experience, the academic grounding, and is nothing short of a world-class communicator," said Tracy Harris, senior vice president of Advanstar's Powersports Group, producer of Dealer Expo (and parent of Dealernews). "Dealers who interact with him see immediate, dramatic and measurable improvement in their sales numbers.”

Retailers attending Rodgers’ Dec. 4 workshop will also receive a copy of his bestselling book: Accelerate the Sale: Kick-start Your Personal Selling Style to Close More Sales, Faster.

Mark Rodgers began his career in the powersports industry in 1987 at Hannum’s Harley-Davidson and Kawasaki near Philadelphia, Pa.  He worked for Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee before starting his own consulting practice in 1998. Since then, he’s created and presented more than 1,750 sales workshops in nine countries and 42 states.

Rodgers joins two other educational partners for the DX National Retailer Conference. Dealership University will deliver a three-part workshop as part of the Dealer Marketing Track, and The Retail Owners Institute will present in-depth training on retail financial management, anchoring the Dealer Management Track.

“A new, exclusive, in-depth education program is essential for propelling the retail sector forward in 2015,” said Mary Slepicka, group content director and publisher of Dealernews. “The National Retail Conference program must provide immediate, tangible value for our attendees.
