The International Master Bike Builders Association (IMBBA) Motorcycle Appraisers course is in final editing and will be released and published next month, the organization says.
IMBBA founder and president Jeff Starke says he hopes this will change the landscape of how and by whom appraisals are written.
The course is 250 pages of content, instructions and training requirements. The document, including forms and a network of comparables, will be hosted on the IMBBA/Chopper Institute of America’s LMS website featured in the “My Motorcycle Education” portal.
The LMS is ready to be released and available to students, builders and aftermarket manufacturers where industry professionals will be able to log in and take the Motorcycle Appraisers Course that leads to IMBBA certification.
Miles Brown, IMBBA certified Master Bike Builder and Associate Judge, is also IMBBA's director of Motorcycle Appraisers. He completed the necessary requirements for the insurance industry to accept the designed format and appraisals approved by his office. This opens up, for the first time in the motorcycle industry, third-party certification for motorcycle professionals, which in turn can generate additional potential revenue to those who qualify and become certified by IMBBA to conduct appraisals on motorcycles.
The appraisers course will be live online on the LMS for those who wish to become a certified motorcycle appraiser. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
