SUWANEE, Ga. - Maxxis has launched a new intermediate MX tire that the company claims to be nothing short of revolutionary thanks to its use of multiple compound technology.

The new Maxxcross MX IT uses a new dual-compound technology that places a soft cap of rubber across the center of the tire to absorb vibration and enhance traction on the front tire, while a softer compound in used in the center of the rear tire for firm cornering grip combined with great starting traction for holeshots.

Maxxis claims the new tires’ varied construction makes it perfect for outdoor tracks with varying terrain types.

“The MX IT is a motocross-specific tire to complement our already proven off-road lineup of Maxxcross tires,” said Scott Perkins, Maxxis marketing specialist. “We are pumped to begin a new era with a renewed focus on motocross performance. As a brand, Maxxis is well-established in the cross country and desert markets, and the MX IT will reaffirm that we can dominate on the track as well.”
