Mel Harris, VP American Suzuki Motor Corp. – Motorcycle Division, plans to leave the OEM at the end of the year after working with the company for the past 27 years.
Harris started with Suzuki as a district sales manager in New England, then became a regional manager in the Midwest before becoming assistant national sales manager, national sales manager, marketing director, and finally VP of motorcycle/marine operations.
“My future plans are still in development,” Harris tells Dealernews. “I’m too young to retire, so I’ll find a new venture to grow and enjoy.”
