MIC Launches Revive Your Ride! Sweepstakes

The following is a news release from the Motorcycle Industry Council.

Irvine, Calif., March 29, 2010 – Imagine handing one of your customers an entry card worth $10,000 with one simple condition, they must spend it on something motorcycle or ATV-related. Starting April 15, powersports dealers and retailers across the country will kick off the Revive Your Ride! Spring Sweepstakes, aiming to boost floor traffic and sales. Consumers have to visit a dealer or retailer to get and entry card, and all prizes must be spent on powersports equipment or services.

The Grand Prize is a $10,000 pre-paid MasterCard, while 14 other winners will be awarded pre-paid cards ranging from $250 to $2,500. The Revive Your Ride! Spring Sweepstakes is the latest offering in the industry’s Revive Your Ride! promotional campaign. Launched by the Motorcycle Industry Council and its members, Revive Your Ride! is the first industry-wide effort designed to help raise consumer awareness about special dealership sales, incentives and activities across the nation to help increase dealership traffic.

“The MIC Aftermarket Committee wanted to kick off the spring riding season with an aggressive consumer promotion,” said MIC Vice President of Communications Cam Arnold. “What rider or prospective rider wouldn’t be enticed to visit their dealer for a chance to win $10,000 worth of accessories, gear, parts or service? The message behind the sweepstakes is that now is the time to Revive Your Ride! and that dealers have the coolest products and trained staff to help you do it!”

The sweepstakes will run from April 15 to June 30. Participating dealers will be provided with a promotion kit that includes 150 6” x 9” entry cards and two 18.5” x 27.5” posters at cost ($20 plus $5 for shipping). Dealers also will have access to free downloadable posters, banners, post cards, eCards and more at www.mic.org/reviveyourride. Prizes will be fulfilled via a pre-paid MasterCard that can be used only in participating dealerships, retailers, or service providers as designated by the MIC.
