JEFFERSON CITY, MO. - Missouri is one step closer to ending its Sunday sales ban on motorcycles.
The lower house approved legislation March 27 allowing commercial sales of motorcycles on Sunday, although a ban on selling cars, trucks would remain in place. The House legislation was approved 139-5. HB1735 now moves to the state Senate.
Some dealerships in western Missouri say they're losing business to potential customers who cross the state line to buy motorcycles in Kansas.
