Moon's Custom Cycles suffers temporary setback

admin

Moon's Custom Cycles in Ignacio, Colo., is closing indefinitely so the owners can attend to family issues, but they hope to return.

Owners Steve and Ann Mooney say business is good, but they have to move temporarily to care for a sick relative.

Mooney plans to reopen the business in the same shop, unless he sells the building first. If that happens, Mooney has his eye on a vacant lot across the street.

Mooney told the Durango Herald he built about a dozen custom motorcycles starting at $10,000 last year.

“I'm slammed," he says. “My customers don't want me to leave."

He plans to partner with a shop in Livermore, Calif., while he is living there.
