MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Harley-Davidson’s busy Genuine Motor Accessories division offers up a trio of products that add LED lighting accents, help keep chains snug and maintain batteries at an optimum charge.

The Motor Co.’s new Electra Glo fairing edge light kit adds forward-facing white LED accent lights to bikes with H-D’s batwing fairing in its touring lineup.

Made to follow the contour of the fairing and installed via an adhesive strip, the LED’s reportedly offer added conspicuity on the road and a strong visual element. The kit’s smoked housing is made to conceal the lights and blend into the background when turned off.

Harley reports that the kit features simple plug-in connections and requires no cutting or splicing of wires during installation. Designed to fit 1996 and newer Electra Glide, Street Glide and Trike models.

New for Screamin’ Eagle customers are these primary chain tension adjusters that allow riders to manually adjust the primary chain tension and lock it in in place.

According to H-D, these adjusters help when frequent drag-racing starts and high RPM speed shifting are touring. Reportedly ideal for motorcycles with big-displacement (talking 100+ hp) engines, the anodized billet aluminum adjuster is a direct replacement for the OE piece. Built to permit fine-tuning of the primary chain free play and lock the chain tension in place to prevent it from changing during severe shifting.

The kit requires special mounting hardware and fits 2006-and-newer Dyna, and 2007-and-newer Softail and Touring models.

The new compact Battery Tender charger is reportedly superior to a traditional trickle-charger because it’s circuitry cycles the charger on and off as needed and is said to never over-charge the battery.

The 750mA charger includes a quick-disconnect output lead and 7.5 amp fused charging harness that’s equipped with ring connectors and alligator clips. The charger is backed by a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
