CARSON, Calif. - The motorcycle industry will come together May 25 in Carson, Calif., to host a special memorial service for AMA Hall of Famer and long-time Dealernews research editor Don J. Brown, who passed away in late March.

The Don Brown Memorial will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, at the Carson Civic Center, 3 Civic Plaza Dr., Carson, CA 90745. Refreshments will be served afterward, according to event organizers Don Emde and Gary Bryson.

"All friends and industry associates are welcome," Emde said. (See related story on Brown's passing here.)

During his legendary career, Brown was an executive at BSA, Triumph and Suzuki, was editor of Cycle magazine, and helped start Motorcycle Dealer News in 1965. He is widely recognized for helping to launch the "image enhancing" project that became Discover Today's Motorcycling. He was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame in 2001, and received the MIC Chairman's Award in 2007.
