KANSAS CITY, Mo. - APT MotoVox Group has received an order of 3,000 units of its MBX minibike line from a current customer MotoVox calls one of the top 10 revenue grossing international retailers.
Neither the retailer name nor the dollar amount of the order can be disclosed due to agreements between the companies.
The MBX Mini Bike line has sold more than 55,000 units in just under three years, and in the fourth quarter of 2014, APT MotoVox Group will roll out the MBX Minibike line in Latin America and Canada.
The company performed a "rate of sale" exercise within a few markets in Mexico that resulted in 97 percent sellthrough in just four weeks. "Anyone in the retail business would concur that a sellthrough at this rate is a winner," said APT MotoVox President Troy A. Covey. "The product and its price point are right for Latin American markets. Plans are set to rapidly expand the product to Latin American and Canadian markets in 2015 after a limited but strategic launch in Mexico during the latter part of the fourth quarter of 2014, with aggressive distribution in 2015."
APT MotoVox Group will plans to introduce the MBX 13, 14, and 15 Pro in the fourth quarter this year.
The company, which provides low-end scooters and ATVs to big box retailers, recently filed to change its stock ticker and begin trading on major exchanges.
