MTA has charged its new Eastern sales manager with locating, hiring and training new sales reps for open territories. “My number-one goal is to see MTA grow its business in new areas of the country where we are just beginning to make an impact,” says Wade Buffington, who was promoted to the position after serving since 2006 as a sales rep in North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and South Carolina.
Buffington is based near Atlanta, where he has lived his entire life. He has been an avid motorcyclist since age 14, including dual-sport, motocross and national-level road racing experience. These days he and his wife are involved with adventure-touring.
Buffington got his start in the powersports industry in 1992 at an Atlanta dealership. In 2000 he took a position with Maxxis International, overseeing motorcycle and ATV tire sales programs for the U.S. and Canada.
“I’m excited to be a part of MTA,” Buffington says. “My main responsibility as MTA East Regional Sales Manager is to work closely with our sales force to ensure they have what they need to do their job effectively on a daily basis. This will include a broad range of activities, such as product education, problem solving, reporting, developing sales goals and assisting with promotional programs.”
Buffington can be reached at (678) 471-3002, or email@example.com.
