Myrtle Beach area businesses are busy planning events they hope will bring back biker business during next month's Cruisin’ the Coast rally.

Nine businesses have requested special event permits from Horry County. They hope that the reversal of some of the city of Myrtle Beach’s highly publicized rally-related ordinances will bring bikers back.

The applicants are: Myrtle Beach Mall, HB Spokes Restaurant, Rat Hole, Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson, Suck Bang Blow 4 Corners and Original, Beaver Bar, Mr. Fireworks and Hooters. Horry County is expected to approve these permits by the end of this week, according to WMBF.

In North Myrtle Beach, the only area of the city where vendors are allowed is Barefoot Landing.

Vendor permit applications for the Harley-Davidson Spring Rally will be accepted starting April 18 until the weeklong rally begins May 16. Vendor permits for the Memorial Day Bike Fest May 26 to 29 will be accepted starting April 21.
