The Sturgis rally this year will have a few new additions, including Harley-Davidson setting up in Sturgis instead of Rapid City and a fabricating demonstration area.
Harley Davidson will offer demo rides of 2010 models from its downtown base of operations.
At the "Garage Shop Fabricator Showcase" on the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally lot, industry innovators will share fabricating techniques.
The rally will also include Starboyz, a group of “crotch rocket daredevils,” the Loud American Burnouts and an Industry Roundtable giving riders an inside look at the motorcycle business.
"We have not only the small town atmosphere, but we have the beauty of the Black Hills, and along with that beauty we have plenty of motorcycle riding that can be done," Sturgis Mayor Maury LaRue told News Center 1.
Jack Daniels has signed a new contract with the city that is expected to bring in a “significant” amount of money.
"By coming here we inject…somewhere around $200,000 into the economy," David Stang, the AVP director of branded experiences, told the station.
