The brand-new Diamondback Motocross track in New York state will re-open June 16.
The fun will officially begin when Diamondback Motocross opens its gates for a weekend of riding and racing June 16. There will be the first open practice to provide areas racers with a first look at the new facility and to become familiar with the fast lines. All riders are invited to participate.
The original Diamondback Motocross was opened in 1992 by John Coen and Jeff Dirago, two New England-area motocross racers. John’s brother is Carlo Coen, multitime motocross champion. The original Diamondback facility quickly became known as “The Place to Race” for area riders.
The new course is set on more than 59 acres, and provides a layout to accommodate riders of all skill levels, according to the owners.
James Slaughter, owner of the Xtreme Motocross Series, had input on the layout of the track, which has been built for showcasing the XMS timing and scoring system, XtremeScore.
The new Diamondback Motocross site includes an onsite hotel and camping facilities.
