Harley-Davidson has announced its adding a few new items to its Genuine line of products and accessories. They are as follows (from a news release):Skull & Chain Derby cover: ($89.95) incorporates a contrasting 3-D chain rim surrounding the distinctive Willie G® Skull, with black-filled eyes and a rhinestone-encrusted jaw line. Available in mirror chrome finish, the cover fits 1999-later Evolution and Twin Cam models (P/N 25700062) and 2004-later Sportster models (P/N 25700063).
Other items in the Skull & Chain Collection include Timer Covers ($41.95), Air Cleaner Trim ($54.95 to $64.95) Fuel Cap Trim ($39.95) and a Fuel Tank Console Door ($59.95), each in mirror chrome, to fit a number of Harley-Davidson models.
Screamin’ Eagle Hydraulic cam chain tensioner kit and high-flow oil pump upgrade kit: (P/N 25284-11, $499.95) updates the cam chain tensioner of a Twin Cam 88 engine to the latest hydraulic design features on Twin Cam 96 and 103 engines. The hydraulic cam chain tensioner is significantly more durable than the original spring-loaded tensioner, and is an ideal addition to an engine modified for improved performance. 2002-2006 models utilize a Twin Cam 96 single-row front roller chain and sprocket. 1999-2001 models use the Original Equipment front silent chain and sprocket to retain the cam position sensor function. Each kit includes an improved Screamin' Eagle High-Flow Oil Pump that provides increased oil pressure at high-operating temperatures. This kit increases the oil supply by 23 percent and scavenging by 50 percent when compared to the 1999-2005 Original Equipment oil pump, and reduces operating temperature of bearings to improve bearing life.
Fits 1999-2005 Dyna models, 2000-2006 Softail models and 1999-2006 Touring models. Installation requires separate purchase of Spacer Kit P/N 25285-08, Cam Service Kit P/N 17045-99D and Drive Gear Retention Kit P/N 25533-99A.
Sun Ray Heated King Tour-Pak backrest: (P/N 54387-11 Comfort Stitch, P/N 54388-11 Smooth; $349.95) features a convenient high/low/off toggle control that directs two levels of soothing warmth to a passenger’s lower back area. This one-piece pad with integrated heat element and thermostatic control system is simple to install, and the heating element is switched off with the ignition to avoid draining the battery. Available in Smooth or Comfort Stitch styles, this pad can be teamed with a Sun Ray or Harley® Hammock heated seat for the ultimate in back and bottom comfort. Add a pair of thermostatically controlled Black Rubber Heated Hand Grips (P/N 56100034, $169.95) for additional cool-weather touring comfort.
The Sun Ray Heated King Tour-Pak Backrest Pad fits 1997-later Touring and Trike models equipped with a King Tour-Pak®. Models not equipped with a Tour-Pak Lower Backrest Pad require a separate purchase of one (P/N 52400020 $39.95).
Reduced reach forward control conversion kit for Sportster: (P/N 50700010, $169.95) repositions Original Equipment forward-mounted footpegs and foot controls up and back by two inches for added rider comfort and confidence. The reduced reach places the rider's boot at the proper pivot point for improved leverage, while maintaining the “foot-forward” riding profile. This kit also provides additional leg clearance around the chassis and air cleaner, by moving the footpegs outward 1.5 inches (left) and 0.5 inch (right). This easy-to-install kit includes heavy-duty steel mounts and a shortened brake rod, and reuses Original Equipment control supports and brake and shift levers. It may also be personalized with custom lever styles. The kit fits 2004-later Sportster models equipped with forward controls. A similar kit (P/N 50700005, $169.95) is available for 2006-later Dyna® models with forward controls (except Switchback).
Premium Ride Hand-Adjustable Rear Shocks ($499.95) utilize a single-tube, nitrogen-charged emulsion design offering enhanced compression and rebound damping compared to the Original Equipment-style air-adjustable shocks, for a controlled-yet-plush ride with less bottoming. The compression and rebound damping is split between the two shocks – stiff spring with rebound damping on the left and soft spring with compression damping on the right – to balance the load of each shock. Larger chambers (40mm diameter pistons and 14mm rods) allow these shocks to react more quickly to impacts. A knob behind the left saddlebag allows the rider to conveniently modify the spring preload via a hydraulic adjuster. Available in Standard Ride Height (P/N 54000008) and Low Ride Height (P/N 54680-10) versions to fit 2009-later Touring models (except Trike).
Premium Ride Double Cartridge Fork Kit (P/N 45500106, $399.95) complements the Premium Ride Hand-Adjustable Rear Shocks (Low Ride Height and Standard Ride Height) by providing a balanced suspension system capable of delivering superior ride characteristics. The Double Cartridge Fork Kit replaces the original-equipment front suspension to improve resistance to front brake dive, improve cornering and enhance bottoming control. The kit includes fork pipes, cartridges, fork bolts, main springs and oil seals, and fits 2009-later Touring models (except Trike).Contact: Harley Davidson Motor Co., www.harley-davidson.com.
