LACEY, Wash. – The location has been the same since Northwest Harley-Davidson became an anchor tenant at Freedom Point Plaza more than 11 years ago. Now, new owners have taken the reins.

The new partners aren’t exactly new to the shop: Joe Deck was a partner in the business with Steve Boone and was CFO at Boone Ford for five years prior to the building of the current Harley store in 2003. Julio Valdenegro spent the last eight years as general manager. He worked his way up from shipping and receiving, and the parts department on his way to becoming GM.

Last March, Boone decided it was the right time for a change and began discussions with Deck and Valdenegro about the future of the Harley shop. The two longtime partners decided joint ownership made sense and they moved forward with the purchase, according to Thurston Talk

With the “official” transition last Nov. 6, the duo is ready to launch Northwest Harley-Davidson now. The store plans an event April 6 to kick off the summer riding season.
