North Carolina shop aims to fill motorcycle service gap

admin

Morganton, N.C., has a new service shop option this week with the opening of Independent Cycles.

Owner Bo Dickerson and manager Gabe Scofield plan a grand opening some time next month for the shop they opened to give riders a closer place to get repairs and gear than Hickory or Asheville.

“I’m just trying to make a living from something I love to do,” Scofield told the News Herald. “We want to help people ride their motorcycles not make it a burden to ride their motorcycles.”

Scofield is an MMI graduate and has 10 years of experience. He worked out of his home for three years before opening the shop.

To contact Independent Cycles, see the website or look for the business on Facebook or Twitter.
