The industry’s largest vehicle auction provider, National Powersport Auctions, will run a live auction of pre-owned vehicles at this February’s Dealer Expo in Indianapolis.

The exclusive, three-year agreement between NPA and Advanstar Communications, parent of Dealer Expo (and Dealernews), means that a live auction of premium pre-owned powersports vehicles will take the stage at the Indiana Convention Center in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

“It just makes sense,” said NPA’s Justyn Amstutz. “Dealer Expo and NPA both take a tremendous amount of pride in their strategy and long-term relationships. The largest powersports auction in the world should naturally partner with the largest dealer show. NPA is proud to assist Dealer Expo in offering pre-owned product to dealers in an environment where they normally couldn’t acquire it."

NPA also will host a series of educational seminars for dealers interested in learning more about the auction process. Seminars scheduled for this February include a session on how to make pre-owned sales a strong revenue-generating service for your dealership, and a tutorial on how dealers can most effectively maneuver through the auction process.

“Additional educational seminars will be given at the show to assist the dealer to drive profit into their dealerships in several categories around the pre-owned segment,” Amstutz said. “How can a dealer not participate?”

The live auction at Dealer Expo also will be simulcast online. For more information or to register, visit www.dealerexpo.com.
