Ohio Dealer Named Best Suzuki Retailer for 2008

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — American Suzuki at its annual dealer meeting Tuesday night named Andrew Suzuki, a powersports dealership out of Salem, Ohio, Top Overall Retailing Dealer for 2008. Two Southern California also dealers received high praise from the OEM: Bert’s Mega Mall of Covina, Calif., was named the Top Retailing Motorcycle Dealer and nearby Chapparal Motorsports of San Bernadino took the honors as Top Retailing ATV Dealer.

San Diego House of Motorcycles won the award for Best Parts Dealer. Flip over to the East Coast, where Oneida Suzuki in Oneida , N.Y. received the Top Accessory Dealer award.

Advertising awards went to Chicago Cycle (Lincolnwood, Ill.), Calmes Motor Sports (Denham Springs, La.), East Coast Powersports (Summerville , N.C.), Fay Myers Motor Sports (Denver, Colo.) and North Jax Motor Sports (Jacksonville, Fla.). Calmes won for best long-form video with an innovative infomercial for the Hayabusa sportbike featuring local rap artists.

Race Support honors were given to Nielsen Enterprises (Lake Villa, Ill.), Suzuki City ( Biloxi, Miss.) and Rizzon Cycle (Middlesex, N.J.). Top dealers in the Retail Finance category were Paulson’s (Lacey, Wash.), Sky Power Sports (Lake Wales, Fla.) and Chapparal. The Thomas Miller Award for the best customer satisfaction index (CSI) score went to Suzuki City, which achieved an average CSI of 98 in the past year.

Fay Myers again won for Outstanding Rider Training Program, while Sports Cycle Suzuki (Leesburg, Pa.) took home honors for community service. An ATV retail promotion created by Brothers Motor Sports (Baxter, Minn.) won the Outstanding Merchandising award. Suzuki then named the New England Suzuki dealers as the collective recipients of the Outstanding Retail Promotion award for a region-wide rider training event.

Service awards went to Ashland Cycle Center (Ashland, Ky.), Barstow Motorcycle Center (Barstow, Calif.), Castrow Motorcycle Sales (Charleston, W.Va.), Davis Service Center (Montrose, Colo.), Hanson Suzuki (Orofino, Idaho), Hebler Sales and Service (Pendleton, N.Y.), Jack Trebour Motorcycles (Ledgewood, N.J.), Performance Cycle (Bethany, Okla. – a 2008 Dealernews Top 100 Dealer), RPS Motorsports (Placerville, Calif.), Seymour’s Motorized Sports (Cohoes, N.Y.), Steiger Powersports (La Crosse, Wis.), Suzuki of Biloxi (Biloxi, Miss.), Suzuki of Dalton (Dalton, Ga.), and Suzuki of Gastonia (Gastonia, N.C.).

The OEM bestowed special honors to Donnell’s Suzuki (Independence, Mo.), a dealership that has won the manufacturer’s annual service award for 25 consecutive years.
