Parts NVP: Drag reps get eyeful of V-twin flavored gear from Icon

MADISON, Wis. - As Icon's Steve Schoen pointed out, the apparel company has a slew of new products for Fall 2011, but for for the V-twin market it has some very specific items in mind.

Toward the top of that list? The Victory Hard Luck jacket, which is only being produced in a limited production run of 100. Built from vintage washed premium leather, the Hard Luck features a wool houndstooth lining and an eye-catching graphic design on the front and back. As Icon's marketing materials say of the jacket, "She is an American story of crushed dreams and busted bones. She knows the soft whisper of sheared bolts and the harsh cough of a popped motor."

Next up is the Alliance Harbinger helmet, which features a skull- and death-infused design that fits in well with the V-twin crowd. The Alliance lid uses Icon's Prolock shield locking system, Hyrdadry moisture-wicking textile, a FogFree performance shield coating and is DOT and ECE approved.

For women riders, there is the new Hella Heartbreaker pant, a tailored pair of women's riding denim complete with Aramid knee panels. For their feet, check out the Sacred boot, that comes in a 12 inch and a 6 inch cut. The Sacred has a custom-molded metal heel plate, padded shin panel and molded rubber shifter nubs.

A new Icon glove, the Justice Touch Screen glove allows riders to operate the touchscreens on their iPhones or other mobile devices without removing the glove by way of a special leather used in the palm.
