LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Petersen Automotive Museum has announced its inaugural motorcycle-themed exhibit, which is slated for this summer. “Braving Baja: 1000 Miles to Glory” will kick off May 4 and run through Sept. 2, and will feature Baja vehicles, artifacts and more.

In honor of the exhibit, the Petersen Museum will host a tribute dinner and off-road show the weekend before the exhibit opens to the public. The May 2  tribute dinner will honor Dave Ekins’ and Bill Robertson Jr.’s first timed motorcycle ride down Mexico's Baja California peninsula.

Also slated for the evening is a tribute to Parnelli Jones.

Following the dinner will be a preview of the “Braving Baja” gallery exhibit. Tickets are $95, and proceeds of the dinner will benefit the museum’s children’s programs. For tickets, click on this link.

The off-road show will be held in the museum’s parking lot on May 4. The show will feature bikes, trucks, buggies and historic memorabilia on view and for sale. To register your off-road vehicle for the show, click on this link. The registration fee is $35.
