Philadelphia Motorcyclists Rev Up for the Cause

RIDERS WILL GET “Revved Up for the Cause” Oct. 10 during a breast cancer charity ride benefiting Divas For a Cure. The ride will begin at Barb’s Harley-Davidson & Buell in West Collingswood Heights, N.J. and will end at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, Pa., where the Philadelphia Motorcycle Show will be in full swing that weekend.

The ride welcomes all makes and models of motorcycles. Details are as follows:

  • Arrive: 11:00 a.m. - No pre-registration but waiver/release form required
  • Location: Barb's Harley Davidson & Buell, 926 Black Horse Pike, W Collingswood Heights, NJ 08059 Tel: 856.456.4141
  • Depart: Noon, with police escort (New Jersey and Pennsylvania)
  • Donation: $5 per bike, $5 per passenger. All proceeds will be donated to DFAC/breast cancer research. First 250 riderse to sign up will receive a Divas For A Cure lapel pin. All ride participants will receive $3 off admission to the Philadelphia Motorcycle Show

“Our mission is simple. Early detection is key to survival. I am living proof. We are simply ordinary women trying to do extraordinary things," noted Jan Emanuel-Costley (aka “Sunny The Diva”), founder and president of ride beneficiary Divas For a Cure.

NHRA Pro Stock Motorcyclist Peggy Llewellyn will join the ride."I am honored and excited to participate in this multi-state ride," said Llewellyn. "It utilizes two of my passions - motorcycles and my community - to help in the fight against breast cancer and help change the image of women and motorcycling."
