Winget will deliver the opening keynote address, specifically geared for powersports dealers, at 8 a.m. in the Sagamore Ballroom on the second floor of the Indiana Convention Center. The exclusive presentation is being offered free to registered dealer attendees of Dealer Expo 2011.
Known and marketed as “The Pitbull of Personal Growth” and “The World’s Only Irritational Speaker,” Winget has garnered a legion of fans across the country with his irreverent and extremely direct delivery style. At Dealer Expo, Winget plans to attack traditional business wisdom, offering simple truths in his trademarked caustic, thought-provoking and entertaining style.
“The principles he discusses are the foundation for true success and can be applied to life, money, parenting, customer service, sales, leadership and more,” according to his publicist. “Larry points out the contradictions of saying we want success and practicing actions that bring about failure. His emphasis is personal responsibility, integrity, an impeccable work ethic, flexibility in a time of change, keeping a sense of humor and more. He teaches that business improves when the people in the business improve and that everything in life gets better when we get better and nothing gets better until we get better.”
Winget maintains that work is the key to success -- not talking about work, not having meetings about work, not writing reports about work, but work.
“You don't think your way to success, believe your way to success or happy your way to success, you only work your way to success," Winget says.
Winget is one of the nation’s leading business speakers, and is a regular guest on FOX News, FOX Business Channel and MSNBC. The Arizona native also appeared regularly on A&E’s Big Spender and VH1’s Tool Academy.
He is the best selling author of the following books (published by Gotham Books/Penguin):
- No Time for Tact
- The Idiot Factor
- You’re Broke Because You Want to Be
- People Are Idiots and I Can Prove It
- It’s Called Work for a Reason! and
- Shut Up, Stop Whining and Get a Life
Dealers are encouraged to arrive well before the 8 a.m. start time to get a good seat. A continental breakfast will be offered to dealers from 7 to 7:45 a.m. in the Sagamore Ballroom. Winget will be available for a book signing after the presentation.
