Other models, returning and new
The returning 800 Rush Pro-R and 600 Rush Pro-R attack trails with their Pro-Ride Progressive Rate Rear Suspension. The Pro-Ride front and rear suspensions are equipped with Walker Evans Needle Shocks. These sleds are powered by Polaris Liberty engines with Cleanfire injection.
Polaris Switchback models for on and off the trail are powered by Liberty engines and have a 136-inch Pro-Ride rear suspension.
New for 2014 is the 800 Switchback Adventure, which has the versatile Adventure Cargo System that lets a rider install or remove saddlebags in seconds without tools. The cargo rack can also hold the new accessory Lock & Ride Convertible Passenger Seat, which converts the sled into a two-up machine in seconds.
The new 600 Switchback Assault 144 joins the 800 Switchback Assault 144 for all-terrain riding. It can handle tight, rough terrain, and is well equipped for landing from jumps and drops.
Pro-RMK models feature Polaris’ lightest, strongest components, including Carbon Fiber Overstructure. The models’ Coil-Over Rear Suspension can tackle deep-snow terrain. Pro-RMK models also feature the QuickDrive Low Inertia Drive System that provides quicker acceleration and increased “flickability.” It reduces rotational inertia by 21 percent, which means 5 lbs. less effort when carving, Polaris said.
The 800 RMK Assault is for the backcountry. Riders with the urge to explore are also served by the 600 IQ LXT and Turbo IQ LXT, two touring models with a wide range of comfort and convenience features. These sleds have adjustable Lock & Ride Backrests that can support a passenger or a high-mileage solo rider.
The 600 IQ WideTrak is a versatile workhorse with a cargo rack, work light, underseat storage and heated glove box. It also has a two-up seat with a backrest.
