WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Polaris is voluntarily recalling about 82 Pro-RMK snowmobiles due to an “injury, death hazard.”

The front, lower left shock bolt can fail and cause the operator to lose control of the vehicle. No incidents of this happening have been reported.

The recall involves 2013 Polaris Pro-RMK 600 and 800 snowmobiles. The serial number and model number can be found on the right hand side of the tunnel below the seat. “Pro-RMK” is on the lower right and left sides of the hood. The engine size and the letters “ES” or the words “Limited Edition” are on the upper right and left sides of the hood. The numbers “155” or “163” are on rear of the tunnel. The snowmobiles come in red, white and black. The recall includes the models listed below:

Model Description
S13CG6GSA 600 PRO RMK 155
S13CH8GSA 800 PRO RMK 163

Polaris has notified registered consumers directly about this recall, telling them to stop using the vehicles and contact any Polaris snowmobile dealer to schedule a free repair.
