Polaris dealers assembled in Las Vegas for the company's annual business meeting have been shown a youth-sized side-by-side vehicle, the RANGER RZR 170.
Designed for riders 12 and older, the RANGER RZR 170 has a four-stroke, air-cooled, 169cc engine with electric start and an automatic transmission. Styled similar to its adult counterpart, the RANGER RZR 170 includes all the safety features of Polaris' youth lineup and more: a removable ignition key, electronic throttle safety control, daytime running lights, side nets, full cab frame, three-point seat belts, color-coded foot controls, parking brake, hydraulic disc brakes, and speed controls to enable adults to set a maximum speed control limit. There's also a high-visibility whip flag, safety video and two DOT-approved helmets.
The vehicle is scheduled to ship to dealers in January or February, priced at $3,999.
