ARI serves more than 22,000 powersports, outdoor power and marine dealers across North America, offering three basic services: electronic catalogs, dealer marketing services and e-commerce capabilities. The acquisition combines OC-Net's dealer base and consumer applications with ARI's electronic catalogs, OEM relationships and international marketing force.
ARI's parts catalog business accounted for nearly 90 percent of its revenues for the fiscal year ending last July 31. ARI's electronic catalog offerings enable dealers to look up a variety of technical information, from illustrated parts lists, service bulletins and price files to repair instructions.
"We're the only company that offers OEM parts diagrams," says Hipp.
"The consumer can find anything he wants about colors or parts or specifications, all within the dealer's website," adds Hipp. "And the same person can purchase aftermarket and OEM accessories as well as find replacement parts — all online."
Look for the combined ARI/OC-Net to expand its dealer management services and warranty processing offerings in North America, and delve into the European motorsports market.
