NORTH RANDALL, Ohio - Jacob Schlueter has been named Student of the Month for September by Ohio Technical College's PowerSport Institute.

Aside from solid class participation and quality lab work, Schlueter "is always 'stepping up his game' and has shown a firm grasp of the basic requirements of a professional technician," the school announced. "He has been very cooperative with his instructors and does what is asked of him.  This is a great attribute that will carry him throughout his career with continued success."

Schlueter is already employed at Ohio Motorsports in Bedford Heights.

In making the announcement, PSI revealed comments on Schlueter's grade card. They include:

  • “Cares about making sure units are better than when he got them.”
  • “Top of class again.”
  • “Continues to excel at every task – difficult or mundane.”
  • “Always has answers when called on in class.”
  • “Current experience shows, does well determining causes of failures.”

Schlueter has been in school for over a year and only missed one day, according to instructor Alex Rossborough. Schlueter "will go all the places and do all the things that this field has to offer," he noted.
