DIRECTORS OF BIKE TIME Events, Inc., a non-profit entity that since 2007 has presented the Muskegon Bike Time event in Muskegon, Michigan, has signed a five-year agreement with Indianapolis-based production firm The Promotion Company- Family Events. The agreement calls for The Promotion Company-Family Events to promote, operate and manage Muskegon Bike Time beginning with the July 17, 18, and 19, 2009 edition of the motorcycle-enthusiast weekend. Muskegon Bike Time brings thousands of motorcyclists to a festival in downtown Muskegon encompassing all 10 blocks of Western Avenue renamed for Bike Time weekend, “Steel Horse Alley.” After its first two years of existence, Muskegon Bike Time has become America’s fastest growing bike event. The Promotion Company-Family Events mission is to manage the exponential growth of Muskegon Bike Time while preserving the family friendly atmosphere that has made the event a hit with motorcyclists who have turned out by the thousands over the past two years. The Promotion Company-Family Events was recommended to the Muskegon Bike Time board by C.K. Spurlock, who has consulted with Hot Rod Harley-Davidson of Muskegon and the Bike Time Board for the 2007 and 2008 production. Carl Miskotten, one of the owners of Hot Rod Harley, and Bike Time board member said: “C.K. has helped us create a great foundation for Bike Time and The Promotion Company-Family Events will build Bike Time into a national brand.” Hot Rod Harley is the founding sponsor of Muskegon Bike Time. The Promotion Company-Family Events, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, has produced more than 1,000 motorsports and other general-interest entertainment events designed for family audiences at venues throughout the United States for more than 35 years. The company’s staff of 22 has expertise in operations, event production, risk management, box office, group sales, marketing, media buying, publicity, promotions, and sponsorship sales and fulfillment. In 2008, the firm presented the return of the Legendary Indy Mile AMA Flat Track motorcycle race to the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The Indy Mile set new records for attendance and restored a “crown jewel” motorcycle event with a rich history. C. Bruce Hubley, CEO and owner of The Promotion Company-Family Events explained the new association with Muskegon Bike Time: “C.K. Spurlock, whom I’ve known and worked with since the 1970’s, contacted me last year about Bike Time. He invited staff members from our company and me to come to Muskegon for Bike Time to soak up the excitement and see what a terrific event it is. We were thoroughly impressed with the huge turnout on “Steel Horse Alley” and how all the businesses and vendors interacted with the motorcycle enthusiasts on hand. C.K. knew that our company has been doing these kinds of events all over America for about 35 years, and thought we could bring our expertise to bear on the job of growing and protecting Bike Time. The event has a significant economic impact on the Muskegon community as these thousands of folks come to town ready to eat, drink, stay in hotels, shop, and have fun. Our mission will be to maximize that positive financial impact for the community and to set the event up to be self-sustaining for years to come.”

Steve Warmington, Mayor of the City of Muskegon and Chairman of the Bike Time Board of Trustees said, “I am pleased with the progress that has been made since the introduction of The Promotion Company-Family Events in mid-October of 2008. I am confident this year’s event will be bigger and better.”

The Promotion Company-Family Events has a typically active year underway in 2009. The company will produce events in 13 states stretching from Vermont to Arkansas. In addition to the return of the Lucas Oil Indy Mile AMA Flat Track Grand National, in 2009 The Promotion Company-Family Events will promote and produce six 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals weekends nationwide as well as The Truck & Jeep Fest; The Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour, The Car Craft Summer Nationals, The Hot Rod Super Nationals, Performance Park at the Woodward Dream Cruise, The Fall Street Machine Nationals, The Indiana State Fair Motorsports Weekend featuring the Indy Super Pull, and The Route 66 International Mother Road Festival.
