COLUMBUS, Ohio – Superbike racer Larry Pegram will transition from the track to the showroom with a new dealership and riding school at the Sports Pavilion and Automotive Research Complex.

Pegram will own and operate a motorcycle dealership, performance shop and riding academy at SPARC. He said he plans to start the dealership with EBR sportbikes and add other brands.

In addition to providing motorcycle sales, service and performance enhancement, Pegram Motorcycles will offer rider training courses, including introductory safe motorcycling and intensive race-oriented courses.

“I am excited to share my knowledge and expertise with everyone from recreational riders to those aspiring to the professional circuit,” Pegram said. “I have world class mechanics working for me during the race season, and now I can offer them full time employment sharing their knowledge with the motorcycling public. I am excited to be included in SPARC. In fact, when I first heard of the project, I knew I had to be part of it.”

Pegram has been racing professionally since 1988. He started racing at age 4 and was an established dirt track racer in his teens. In 1999 he joined the FBF Ducati team and won his first Superbike race. In 2013, Pegram finished 6th in the AMA Superbike season championship. He has raced professionally on Ducati, Suzuki, Honda, BMW, Yamaha and most recently riding an EBR motorcycle for Erik Buell Racing.

“We have attracted another “best of breed” participant to the SPARC project. We are extremely excited to add Larry and his operation to the SPARC stable of businesses. The presence of Pegram will further enhance and complement our existing Partners: Michael Waltrip Racing, Midwestern Auto Group and Richard Petty Driving Experience,” said Bill Schottenstein, principal of SPARC developer Arshot Investment Corp.
