Republic Harley-Davidson will host a May 12 Law Enforcement Memorial Ride to commemorate National Police Week by honoring fallen police officers.

The Texas dealer is partnering with the Sugar Land Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Sugar Land Skeeters minor league baseball team to organize the event, which is seeking sponsors. All proceeds from the fourth annual Memorial Ride will benefit crime prevention, according to Ultimate Fort Bend.

Ride registration will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. at the dealership. Riders will depart at 5:45 p.m. for the area’s new baseball stadium, where a Parade of Chrome will take place.

Fort Bend County's new BearCat tactical armored vehicle will be on display. Other events at the stadium will include a presentation of the colors by Sugar Land’s police honor guard and a bagpipes rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
