Fifty powersports enthusiasts have been awarded prizes in conjunction with the MIC's Spring Revive Your Ride! promotion to generate aftermarket sales at the dealership level.
Aftermarket members of the MIC donated $12,000 in cash prizes and about $28,000 worth of aftermarket products for the campaign. The prizes were awarded by participating dealerships.
"Thanks to our MIC aftermarket members, this tremendous promotion again drove thousands of customers into dealerships everywhere, which was exactly what it was supposed to do," said Frank Esposito, MIC aftermarket committee chairman. "Although this was only the second year, we still saw a dramatic increase in participation from MIC member companies who donated $40,000 in cash, cool products and great services as giveaways."
The Fall Revive Your Ride! campaign runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 30. "We are already looking forward to the next Revive Your Ride! promotion and hope to use the momentum from this promotion to make the next one even better," Esposito said.
Winners of $2,000 debit cards were Brian Danell of Seattle, Wash., and Terry Bage of Comfort, Texas. The $2,000 debit card awards were given out by Lynwood Motoplex and Alamo Cycle Plex.
Ryan Sloan of Page, Ariz., won a combination product prize package, awarded by Page Honda, from Airhawk, Roadlok, Saddlemen, SuperTrapp, K&N and AfterCare. Chris Mostello of Pahrump, Nev., won a combination product prize package from Custom Chrome, EMGO, Helmet House, Cycle News and AfterCare, delivered by J Mar Customs Motorcycle Service Center.
Product prizes were also donated by Tucker Rocky, Helmet House, National Cycle, Accel, Yuasa, Kendon, Deltran, Avon, Sunstar, LeoVince, Manheim (the auction company donated an iPad) and DID Chain.
