WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. -- Chad Oulson, 43, an employee of Sky Powersports, was shot to death in a movie theater Monday.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Oulson and his wife Nicole were settling in to watch "Lone Survivor" on the afternoon of Jan. 13. Reports say Oulson argued with another patron, who took issue with Oulson's texting. Police say Curtis Reeves Jr., 71, a retired police officer, shot Oulson. Nicole Oulson was also wounded as she put up her hand in defense.

Reeves has been charged with second-degree murder.

Oulson, a U.S. Navy veteran, worked at the Port Richey office of Sky Powersports in the finance department, and was an avid rider of dirtbikes. He also owned a speedboat.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Alexis; mother, Barb Schreacke; brother, Jeff Harpole and sister, Kip Hoosier. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O'Lakes with visitation at 1 p.m.

Sky Powersports is setting up a trust fund for Oulson's daughter, and are making plans for a memorial ride to be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 9 at Sky Power Sports. For more information, see the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ChadOulsonFamilyFund.
