EL DORADO SPRINGS, Mo. – Funeral services are scheduled Saturday for dealer principal Randy Lusk, who died Aug. 27 following a motorcycle accident in Kansas late on Aug. 26. He was 61.
Lusk, owner of Suzuki, Triumph and Polaris/Victory dealer El Dorado Cycle, died of injuries he sustained in an accident around 10 p.m. Monday.
Lieutenant Steve Lewis of the Douglas County Sheriff's office told Channel 6 Lawrence deputies responded to reports of a motorcycle in the median of US 59 Highway. He said deputies found a rider with life-threatening injuries at the scene. Lusk was taken by air ambulance to Overland Park Regional Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Lewis said the Sheriff's office is looking for people who may have been in the area of 59 Highway just south of Baldwin Junction, around the time of the accident. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information about the accident to call Detective Scott Bonham at 785-832-5201.
A visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 30 at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 31 at El Dorado Springs Church of God.
The family has asked that donations be sent to Ride For A Wish in lieu of flowers. Donations may be sent to the Bland/Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs.
