RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Funeral services will be held Saturday for Mike Slagle, former sales manager at Quaid Temecula Harley-Davidson, who was killed Oct. 19 in a motorcycle accident. He was 27.
According to California Highway Patrol reports cited in the Riverside Press-Enterprise, Slagle was riding his 2013 Harley in Perris around 11 a.m. Saturday when an RV pulled through an intersection directly in his path. His bike slammed into the RV and was thrown from his bike. He was wearing a helmet, police said.
Slagle was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation of the crash is ongoing.
The dealership is planning a Celebration of Life memorial ride for Nov. 24, with donations going to help his fiancée and three children. A fund for them also has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank, account No. 8160983402.
Services will be held at Sandals Church in Riverside Oct. 28. The viewing is at 9 a.m. and the service will follow at 11 a.m.
