WHEN WE WERE looking for aftermarket motorcycle parts as part of our Women Who Roll 2014 special section, we realized that while there aren't that many products designed specifically for women, there are a variety of items to accommodate smaller-framed riders. These aftermarket parts and accessories are designed to give those of a smaller stature a safer, more comfortable ride.

Saddlemen Heels Down Seat

The solo Renegade Heels Down seat from Saddlemen is designed to move the rider lower to the ground and closer to the front of the bike. Progressive density foam and a Saddlegel pad give comfort while on the go, but the contoured design is all about the stopping: it allows the rider to plant their feet on the ground more easily.

The Heels Down seat fits the 2004-14 Harley-Davidson Sportster, and an optional driver backrest is available. Retail price: $229.95

Baron Kickback Risers

If putting dishes away on the top shelf of the kitchen cabinet is your idea of torture, then the Baron Kickback Risers are probably what you want on your bike. They provide four inches of rise and 1.5 inches of pullback on handlebars.

The risers are compatible with one-inch handlebars and include riser caps. Sold in pairs, the Kickback Risers come in chrome or gloss black. They are compatible with most stock brake lines and cables. They retail for $134.95 (chrome), $139.95 (gloss black)

Fat Baggers Narrow Drop Seat Kit

Fat Baggers designed a narrow version of its bolt-on drop seat kit to fit 2009-12 Harley-Davidson touring models.

The narrow iteration has riders who are 5’6” or under in mind.

The side panels are pulled back and the seat is tapered to get feet firmly on the ground. The driver’s seat area is moved forward an extra two inches. There are several seat options, and the side covers can be painted to match the bike. Retail price: $1,999.95

Klock Werks Billboard FLARE Windshield

Laura Klock is vice president and a co-owner of Klock Werks, so the low Billboard FLARE windshield supports a woman-owned business in addition to providing better aerodynamics for smaller riders.

This low version is designed for Harley-Davidson Road Kings and the 2012 and later Dyna Switchback FLD, but there is a long list of other applications. Measuring 16 ⅜” from the headlight opening to the top of the shield, its design is classic Klock Werks, with “hips” on the side and a flip at the top. The pre-drilled windshields use the stock mounting hardware. Retail price: $229.95
